Happy Friday! I am so thrilled that the weekend is finally here! This has been a super long week. I can't believe this is the last weekend before we move into our new house! I can't even tell you how excited I am. This next week is going to be crazy trying to finish packing and get everything ready to move in.
Tonight we are heading to my hometown straight from work. My little cousin is graduating from high school so we're going to that, and then to a party for him afterward. Then, tomorrow morning we're heading to the city for our 11 am appointment at the Apple Store! We're finally getting our macbook fixed. I am so ready to have it back, and as I've said before my blogging should start going much better after that. Saturday afternoon my other little cousin is having his graduation party. He was home schooled and decided to not participate in a graduation ceremony, but the family is getting together to help him celebrate on Saturday afternoon.
We're hoping to be back home by Sunday evening so we can spend it packing. What a huge blessing Memorial Day is this year. I'm not sure if we'd get packed if we didn't have that day off!
I have had such a hard time getting motivated to get things done lately. I think this apartment has something to do with it. Everything is an absolute mess because we have about half our stuff packed up. There are boxes everywhere! And nothing is really in it's place. It's really driving my crazy, and I think it's definitely contributing to my need to get out of here!
I have a question for you guys! Our new house has hardwood floors. They are original to the house, but have been restored. I have had a couple suggestions about how to clean them, but I wanted to ask any of you what you use to clean wood floors if you have them. I was thinking about getting a microfiber "mop" to use most of the time, but I really want to clean them with some kind of solution before we move in since there have been people (including three young kids) living in our house. Should I just go look for wood floor cleaner or what? Any advice would be helpful!
In other news, I just missed a call from the school I'm going to be teaching at. I tried to call them back, but I had to leave a voicemail. I'm hoping they're going to tell me what classes I'll actually be teaching. I hope I hear back from them today! I'm so anxious to find out!
Update: the school called back. They want me to come to a meeting next week so I can meet the other teachers and what not. I'm a little disappointed to still not know my specific assignment, but I guess I'll find out soon enough!
I hope you all have a great Memorial weekend, and enjoy your time off. I can't wait to get back and hear about all the fun!

Have a great weekend! Even if you are packing, it's so exciting to be moving to a brand new home ;)
My hubby is the king of research - seriously! He will scour consumer reports and multiple websites and forums before buying anything (except for clothes!) Anyway, our hosue is over 50 years old and has the original hardwood floors in it as well. He found the best product to use is Bona cleaner. I think we buy it online, but they have a kit that comes with the cleaner and a mop. We just have the cleaner and use our own microfiber mop. We use the cleaner about once a month and swiffer once a week (we have a dog that sheds). We also got the Bona Floor Refresher. We only use it twice a year, but it really brings the shine and finish back to the floor without gunking it up with waxes. My parents are always amazed at how pretty the floors look after we refresh them. Hope this helps! Moving can be stressful but super exciting :)
:) You will find out soon about your school, good luck! :) PS. I gave you a little shout out on my blog today!
Have a great weekend girl and good luck packing :) I know you are excited!
Randy and I went and saw Robbie and Savannah's house when they were moving in and Bobbie (of course) bought this wood cleaning stuff - it was in an orange bottle - that made the floors look AMAZING. Look for orange wood floor cleaner. I think she said she bought it at the dollar store or something - so it's cheap and totally worth it.
Ahh, yay for moving in!! :) I can't wait to read all about it! :) On the wood floors, we don't have them, but my grandma did and I will ask my mom what she used. :)
