Dad,

Where are you, dad? Mom told me that you are at a conference for work, but I don't really know what that is. I missed you so much when you didn't come home last night. Mom let me sleep in your spot. I like sleeping in the big bed and all, but I really missed having you tuck me into my kennel. I hope that you're coming home soon because things here at the house just aren't the same without you. Mom won't stop talking about how much she misses you, and I think everything is so much better when you're at home with us. Dad, you're going to be so proud when you get home because I've kept mom company, AND I haven't pottied in the house even one time! Come home soon dad...mom and I need you.

P.S. Good job leaving mom little notes around the house. I don't know what they say, but every time she finds one she gets so happy and excited. She especially loved the one she found in the microwave.
