Oh lovely day

Today has been such a lovely day! Because of the 6-12 inches of snow we were supposed to recieve last night, we decided to postpone our long run from this morning to tomorrow morning. Being the schedule loving person that I am it bugs me just a bit to not stick with our usual Saturday morning run, but I got over it pretty fast when I started thinking about sleeping late in a warm bed with my hubby while the snow fell outside! We haven't slept in since before we started marathon training last January, so it really was such a treat.

We woke up about 9 o'clock, ate some breakfast (shredded wheat n' bran w/soy for me), and just lounged around watching some TLC. I can only lay around doing nothing for so long, so after awhile I took a shower and dried my hair and such. The rest of today has included a low key lunch of soup and grilled cheese, playing with Olive and.....

dun dun dun!! starting my skirt for Jessica's sewing class.

I had bought all the materials months ago when she first announced the class. I have just put it off for so long, and I'm not even sure why. Today I finally just started working on it, and I got completely caught up. Now I just have to wait for her to post lesson four so I can put in the zipper and the waistband. I'm so excited to finish it! I'll post pics of the final product.

Speaking of sewing, I had mentioned that I wanted to post some pictures of a project I did a couple of weeks ago. I made a tag blanket and 3 pacifier clips for my friend, Emily, who is due in about 6 weeks! Here's the finished product:

Babies love these because they can cuddle with the soft fleece and chew/suck on the ribbons

Pacifier clips - I think I would make these a little shorter next time

Speaking of babies...I just happened to have my camera right next to me when our little baby curled up between us on the couch the other night

I don't think it gets much cuter than this:)

All bundled up and ready to go play in the snow this morning!

Oh, wait...Olive is way too high maintenance to enjoy snow. Daddy had to carry her....

And try to force her to take pictures...which she refused to do obviously

All snowed in!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! We've got church in the morning + a 14 miler. Hopefully the snow will clear up by then!

Great job on those sewing projects ... I'm sure your friend will LOVE the and they're so cute!!

I haven't done much sewing but I'd like to. My mom used to sew EVERYTHING.

Ha, what cute dog pictures ... I wish my dogs didn't like the snow! Instead they LOVE it and since it also snowed here, they're wet, muddy, dirty and smelly and still lovin' it! haha.

What a great idea on the baby blanket!

Olive is too cute! Seriously! I'm dying for a puppy myself, but still haven't talked the hubby into it!
